Such a hidden little gem! Had a delicious lunch at Shay’s on a cold, rainy day! My husband had a delicious cheeseburger and I had the beer battered haddock! So yummy!! Huge portions too! If you are looking for a satisfying lunch, check out Shay’s!

I got a blackberry vodka and some garlic fries, and they were both so good!There was only 1 lady working the whole place alone. Props to her for doing great with all the larger groups that came in (a group of 10 came in when we were eating) . Everyone's food and drinks were great. Good little spot

This was my first restaurant experience here in Portland, and boy was it a good one! Upon entering, me and my party was super excited to see the funky-fresh atmosphere!We were seated quickly, and the service was very friendly and casual.The food was spectacular! Especially if you're looking for simple Americana comfort food.A lovely surprise!

A great meal - both the burger and the hot chicken sandwich were absolutely delicious. The garlic fries were also yummy but be warned that they are indeed very garlicky. We got takeout and the food kept surprisingly well but I can only imagine it tastes even better fresh off the grill in person.

You can never go wrong with Shay’s. Quite the local spot with incredible pub-style food and drink specials every day. On Tuesday they have $5 martinis, and they’re delicious! The jalapeño martini is one of the best cocktails in town.Throughout our many visits to Shay’s over the past few years, we’ve always enjoyed the food and service. Their burgers are incredible and the fried chicken sandwiches are out of this world. We love going in the summer and fall when you can sit outside and enjoy Monument Square — it’s a great spot to people watch.

The food was awesome, and so were the drinks!🍸 I had the cranberry walnut salad with steak tips, and hubby had Turkey panini/fries and a half Cesar salad.

Fish and Chips portion size are ridiculously large. Chips were phenomenal, while the fish was sub par. The fish pieces were very large portions but were lacking in flavor other than fryer taste and breading was super thick to where some parts were doughy/mushy. The lemon caper tarter sauce was very good though, but they dont give you enough for the portion size of the fish. Overall id give this place a 6/10, 7 on a good day. Still wanna try their burgers, I will up the rating if they end up being good 👍🏻Also, gave the atmosphere a 2 star because of how small the venue is in the main lobby, feels a little sardine-ish

The receipt says it all! This is a good place! Came here after work with colleagues and started off with a local beer. For dinner I had the Turkey Club wrap and ordered Nashville hot fries to go with it. They were recommended and I agree that they were pretty good.The entire table enjoyed their meals and I definitely will come back. Great little joint!

Place is on the smaller side but they were able to get us right in. The men's bathroom is very small. Not sure how some people could fit in there. The staff were very friendly.. had a whisky drink that came with mint and fruit. There was so much pulp in the drink as well as seeds I wasn't able to finish the drink.. The food was good.

I’ve been coming to Shay’s for drinks for a couple of years, but just recently started eating their chicken sandwiches. Best chicken sando in Portland! We love this spot, and it’s laid back vibe and friendly service!

Shays is great, coops rotating chicken sandwich special is a hit and the normal menu is also great i highly recommend the honey mustard wrap. The staff there is awesome and this is easily one of my favorite dinner places. They also have a great drink menu!!!

Great pub food and atmosphere. It is a small hole in the wall place but in a good location. I had the cowboy burger and onion rings. It was REALLY good, burger came out cooked just right/to order and onion rings were great. Bbw sause was a little kick but in a good way. Prices were good and plenty of street parking or near by parking lots. Highly recommend coming here.
